Corte Vadio was created to deliver on-demand barber services directly to clients, combining convenience, flexibility, and quality. The platform was fully designed and developed in Webflow, with back-end integration via Django Templates, becoming the digital meeting point between barbers and clients across Lisbon.
Overview
Launched in 2021, Corte Vadio addressed a clear gap in the market: the need for professional barber services at home, anytime, anywhere. The concept revolved around empowering clients to book their preferred barber in just a few steps while offering barbers the freedom to manage their schedules and increase earnings.
The design process started with a full sitemap definition, followed by mobile-first UX flows, later adapted to desktop, and finally transformed into a refined UI design. The chosen design style was Neumorphism, which gave the interface a modern, soft, and elegant aesthetic, perfectly reflecting the premium yet approachable service.
The website was developed in Webflow, with a scalable CMS structure and integrated seamlessly into Django Templates to support both client and admin functionalities. From searching for barbers to managing complex booking schedules, the platform delivered a user-friendly experience backed by strong technical foundations.
Challenge
The main challenge was to create a mobile-first booking platform that balanced two very different user journeys: clients booking services and barbers managing agendas. This required intuitive UX flows, a clean UI aesthetic, and seamless integration with a back-end system robust enough to handle complex scheduling rules.
Solution / Approach
The project began by mapping every user flow into wireframes, focusing on a four-step booking process: Location → Service → Barber → Date. From there, mobile-first designs were created, ensuring accessibility on small screens before scaling to desktop.
UI design embraced Neumorphism, giving the platform a refined and elegant visual language. Once finalized, the system was developed in Webflow, implementing responsive layouts and a CMS optimized for performance. The front-end was then integrated with Django Templates, ensuring that admins could manage services, users, and barbers with precision.
Special attention was given to the “Become a Barber” feature, which allowed barbers to manage complex schedules intuitively. This was one of the most difficult aspects in terms of usability, requiring extensive testing to ensure it was both functional and simple to use.
